Transatlantic – The Absolute Universe

Transatlantic is the ultimate Progressive Rock Supergroup. This album is all the more remarkable as with the lack of travel during the pandemic, the music had to be transferred from continent to continent to allow everyone to put in their parts. But it sounds as if they were all in the same studio together.

Flash In Public

Recorded January 1973 in Kansas in the middle of a snow storm, this delightfully shows off the heat created by this quartet. Sadly not released until nearly forty years after Flash’s demise, nevertheless it is a marvelous reminder of what a great Progressive Rock Band Flash were, especially as a live attraction.

Hawklords – Alive

If you like space rock or listening to music that takes you away on an asteroid, then this is the album for you.

Hawkwind – All Aboard the Skylark

Hawkwind’s 32nd studio album, which they released in their fiftieth year (2019), is a collection of Hawkwind Standards re-recorded and then rearranged by Mike Batt of Wombles fame!

Saxon – Inspirations – Classic Rock Covers Album

Despite a huge back catalogue of their own, Saxon are excited to release an album of infamous rock covers. Inspirations sees the band recreate some of the favourite tracks that influenced them. True to say, this album features some absolute classics.

Burnt Out Wreck – This is Hell

Already established on the hard rock scene, Burnt Out Wreck have truly made an indelible mark with their second album, This Is Hell, complimenting their debut album Swallow, from 2017.

AC/DC – Power Up

The boys are back and powered up. A (nearly) classic lineup of AC/DC have come out of the stud to present us with their 17th collection of new songs. This wonderful selection of songs fairly crackles with energy not heard from AC/DC in many a year. Amazing what a rest can do.
