As soon as the opening title track starts playing, pure class exudes from every phrase and note. All in all a terrific album. If you have an interest in Bruce Springsteen, Ian Hunter, or indeed John Lennon, this is the album for you. If you don’t like it, I’ll be nice to a cat!

For their 22nd Studio album, Deep Purple have released ‘Turning To Crime,’ their first all covers album, adding to the general list of, “What we did during the pandemic lockdown albums.”

This is the second album from Mike Campbell, one of the greatest ever sidemen in rock’n’roll, who has branched out on his own with his band, The Dirty Knobs.
