Nazareth – Rampant

In 1974, Nazareth recorded their fifth studio album, “Rampant”, again with Roger Glover at the production controls. This time the boys decided to do a full-out hard rock album, laying the template for all guitar-driven rock bands for the future.

Deep Purple – O2 Arena London 20th October ‘22

If this well-anticipated performance proved anything, it was to confirm that Deep Purple, British rock aristocracy at its finest, are still deserving of their superstar status. The show kicked off at a breakneck pace with the all-time classic “Highway Star”, closely followed by “Pictures of Home” and “No Need to Shout.”

Slade – All The World Is A Stage

Slade’s concerts always turned into fun loving riots and in this box set are five prime examples of ‘There’s A Riot Goin’ On.’ These recordings are a wonderful way to relive this golden era.

Arena – The Theory Of Molecular Inheritance

The Theory Of Molecular Inheritance is a concept album, as is the wont of progressive rock, so best played from start to finish, all 62 minutes of it. As the first crescendo of Time Capsule comes over the speakers you are hooked anyway. The music is huge, way beyond being put into any category, except maybe just rock.

Steve Hackett – Genesis Revisited: Seconds Out and More

Steve has put together a magnificent band with members who know each other well. If you enjoy the music on these CDs, you should head straight out and get the DVD too, so you can have complete fulfilment of the senses. The only better way is to actually go to a concert.

Nik Turner and The Trance Dimensionals – Synchronicity

A great album, combining the talents of Nik Turner and Steve Hillman, Musical Spacenauts of the first order. The songwriting is extraordinary and the music is delivered bang on with a real unearthly groove. This calls for getting up and giving it your best space boogie.

Dead Daisies – Radiance

Despite all the soothsayers of doom, the Dead Daisies keep on producing the goods both from the studio and live on stage. In what seemed highly unlikely two years ago, the Dead Daisies may have a classic album to their name. Only time will tell.
