Thunder – Dopamine

Fifty years or more since Thunder’s main songwriter and guitarist, Luke Morley, and singer Danny Bowes met, here they are still at the top of their chosen pile.

Steve Cropper – Fire It Up

There is no filler on this album; every song is a gem. It’s almost a sad feeling when the album comes to an end. Fortunately, all you have to do is hit the repeat button on your player.

Cats in Space – Atlantis

Atlantis showcases the incredible talent that makes up Cats in Space. Everything from the writing, production, musicianship, not to mention the stunning harmonies, smacks of quality and pure joy. A contender for album of the year for sure. Just AWESOME!

Def Leppard – Diamond Star Halos

On first listening to Def Leppard’s 12th new studio album, my first reaction was, “Another Def Leppard covers album.” Of course it’s not, as all fifteen songs are originals from the Def Leppard cannon. If you like, it’s a tribute to Def Leppard by Def Leppard.

Anvil – Impact Is Imminent

It’s 2022. It’s summertime. So therefore, we are due some really zany goofy fun from those wonderful people from Anvil, Canada’s great export into the world of heavy metal and thrash metal. In fact, they have been going so long they are now cited as the Godfathers of thrash/heavy metal. Here we stand with a new album, ‘Impact is Imminent.’

Mystery – Caught in the Whirlwind of Time

Recorded on November 17th 2018 at Boerderji Cultuupodium, Zoetermeer, Netherlands, ‘Caught in the Whirlwind of Time’ is Mystery’s latest live album, released in 2020 in support of the band’s world tour promoting the studio album ‘Lies and Butterflies.’

Mambo Sons – Play Some Rock & Roll

If you just want to kick up some dirt and have a good time, I suggest you look no further. You can also have some fun listening out for all the name checks scattered about amongst the lyrics. ‘Mambo Sons Play Some Rock and Roll’ would sum up this review in seven words.
